- Facilitate the exchange of information, coordinate communications, and implement projects for conservation and proper utilization of the Park.
- Collaboratively manage and operate the Daisetsuzan National Park by various stakeholders

The Daisetsuzan National Park Liaison Council is a council organization consisting of related administrative agencies, tourist associations, transportation companies, nature conservation groups, researchers, and others.
Since the issue of trail deterioration is of the most important issue in Daisetsuzan National Park, the council has established the Trail Maintenance and Management Subcommittee as a permanent subcommittee, to study trail management issues and report the results of their investigations to the Council.

How it Started
The Daisetsuzan National Park Liaison Council was established in 1993 as a council consisting of the current Ministry of the Environment, Hokkaido, and 10 cities and towns related to Daisetsuzan National Park, and was expanded and reorganized into the current structure in June 2020, when the Daisetsuzan National Park Vision was formulated.
