Refuge Huts and Toilets

◇Late July and early August are especially crowded. Accommodation may not be available on certain days.
Hutkeepers are only present in summer at the Mt.Hakuundake Refuge Hut and the Kurodake-ishimuro. All other huts are unmanned.

In Daisetsuzan National Park, there are disposal bins for portable toilets at Sounkyo Onsen, Aizankei Onsen, Daisetsukogen Onsen, Asahidake Onsen, Juuroku-no -sawa trailhead, Horoka Onsen trailhead, Tomuraushi trailhead, Shirogane Onsen, Bogakudai Observatory, Fukiage Onsen and Tokachidake Onsen. Note that not all trailheads have disposal bins, so if there are no disposal bins at your trailhead, please take the portable toilet home for disposal.
